YouTube

For YouTube, I was deeply involved in social media campaign management, including posting, scheduling concepts, and contributing to concept ideation.

One of the most important projects I worked on during my time at WeAreSocial was YouTube’s rollout on TikTok. This was a pivotal time for the brand as they were entering their direct competitor’s space, and was a fantastic challenge for me to navigate. This post was a reference to the first YouTube video, titled “Me at the zoo,” but featuring some legacy YouTube creators who already had existing presences on TikTok. The post was received well by new and old fans alike, and YouTube now boasts an impressive 1.2 million followers on the platform.

I played a crucial role in sourcing content for posts and actively engaged in trendspotting to ensure our content remained relevant and engaging. Additionally, I was responsible for copywriting for posts and comments, as well as managing proactive and reactive community interactions. I also oversaw daily tracking of post metrics across all platforms and facilitated the onboarding and training of other Community Managers.
